My FIRST bike purchase of my adult life. The Schwinn Women's Gateway "28 700c Hybrid Bike.  I was desperate to bike around the neighborhood as it was peak summer and I had just gotten back from Hawaii. I didn't research or anything - just looked around the Target website and bought the cutest one they had.

This bike is HEAVY! It is so hard to get uphills and the tires are often going flat on me. But it's a cute bike and it'll do for flat neighborhood rides. Put a basket on the back and use it for short commutes to the library or farmer's market in Downtown Milwaukie. It was 169$, so not too much money lost.

My next bike though... it'll be a real winner! And light as a feather. With sturdy tires.
